12.06  harmonic. Partial whose frequency is an integral multiple of the fundamental frequency.

Annotation 1          The term “overtone” has frequently been used in place of “harmonic,” the nth harmonic being called the (n – 1) overtone. The term “overtone” is now deprecated to reduce ambiguity in the numbering of the components of a complex tone.
