The Acoustical Society of America (ASA) announces new Project Initiation Notification System (PINS) notices for proposed standards activities. PINS announcements provide early notice of standards development work and offer stakeholders the opportunity to submit comments before a project begins.
Reviewing and commenting on PINS helps ensure that proposed standards activities are appropriate in scope and do not conflict with existing standards or ongoing work.

PINS announcements and instructions for submitting comments are available during the PINS comment period. All comments received are reviewed by the responsible standards committee prior to initiating work on the proposed project.
