ASA Standards is committed to ensuring open participation and access to the standards development process for all. Our Accredited Standards Committees (ASCs) bring together experts from industry, government, and academia to build U.S. consensus on acoustical standards. Through thoughtful review, discussion, commenting, and balloting, ASCs guide the development of new, revised, adopted, reaffirmed, and withdrawn American National Standards.
As the U.S. member body to ISO and IEC, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredits U.S. Technical Advisory Groups (TAGs) to serve as national mirror committees to ISO and IEC Technical Committees (TCs), Subcommittees (SCs), and Project Committees (PCs). Through these TAGs, U.S. experts collaborate to develop and convey national consensus positions on international ballots, new work proposals, and nominations for delegates and experts representing the United States.
