Measurement and Evaluation of Structures and Structural Systems for Assessment and Condition Monitoring

Chair: M. Mezache

Scope: Development and maintenance of standards for the measurement, analysis, modeling, and evaluation of the dynamic (time-varying) response of stationary structures and structural systems such as buildings, dams, bridges and towers for the purposes of assessment and condition monitoring. This includes terminology, measurement instrumentation, evaluation procedures, criteria, and analysis methods necessary in the assessment and condition monitoring of stationary structures and structural systems. In addition, defining requisite procedures to be followed in order that the assessment of such stationary structures and structural systems is done in a timely manner. Liaison with the corresponding ISO standards groups. Coordination of the US vote on related or parallel international standards.
