Working Group on Standard Terminology for Mechanical Vibration and Shock

Scope: Develop and maintain a standard terminology in the area of mechanical vibration and shock. Maintain communication and liaison with related ANSI WGs, relevant US regulatory agencies and relevant ISO standards groups.

Responsible for the following published standards:

• ASA/ANSI S2.1 – Mechanical vibration, shock and condition monitoring – Vocabulary
