S1/WG19: Working Group on Characterization of Windscreen Acoustical Performance

Scope: Develop and maintain a test method to characterize at specific air speeds and directions the effectiveness of a microphone windscreen in reducing noise generated at a microphone due to turbulence created by airflow over a microphone.

• ASA/ANSI S1.17, Part 2 – Microphone Windscreens – Part 2: Measurement of Windscreen, Noise, and Moving Air
