Working Group on Measurement and Prediction of Ground-Borne Noise and Vibration

Scope: Develop and maintain standards for prediction, measurement and assessment of ground-borne noise and vibration including: instrument selection; field procedures; data analysis; numerical procedures; reporting; and estimation of the line source.  Maintain communication and liaison with related ANSI WGs, relevant US regulatory agencies and relevant ISO standards groups.

Responsible for the following standards:

• ANSI/ASA S2.64 – Procedure for Prediction of Groundborne Noise and Vibration from Rail Transportation Systems
• ANSI/ASA S2.65 – Methods for Measuring the Vibratory Response of the Ground
