Machinery Diagnostics Training and Accreditation

Scope: Development of standards for the accreditation of organizations and the training and certification of personnel in the practice of acceptance, evaluation, and diagnostics of machinery. This includes the development of standardized procedures for the accreditation of organizations to train and certify personnel, and for the technical training and certification of personnel in the measurement and analysis of the physical characteristics of machines including mechanical vibration, balance, structural integrity, and electrical, thermal and tribology-related properties in order to form a basis for the acceptance, condition assessment, and diagnostics of machinery.
