middle-ear muscle reflex

3.41  middle-ear muscle reflex. Change in the tonus of muscles of the middle ear in response to an acoustical or tactile stimulus.

Annotation            Contractions of the middle-ear muscles may be monitored by measurement of the change in acoustic impedance or acoustic admittance within the external auditory meatus.
