We’re thrilled to announce XMEMS Labs – a company that that has developed the world’s first solid-state True MEMS speakers for TWS and other personal audio devices – is ASA Standards’ newest organizational member.
xMEMS Labs, founded in 2018, designs and manufactures monolithic solid-state piezo-MEMS micro speakers that reproduce sound through ultrasonic modulation/demodulation, producing 143dB SPL at low frequencies (20Hz). The company applies particular focus on determination of high-frequency SPL emitted by high-intensity ultrasonic equipment (parametric speakers).
As part of their ASA Standards’ Membership, xMEMS Labs’ Michael VanBreda and Michael Ricci will serve on ASC S12, Noise, with Douglas Winker serving as Chair and Derrick Knight as Vice Chair.
VanBreda and Ricci also will serve on U.S. TAG to ISO/TC 43/SC1, Noise, chaired by Stephen J. Lind and Robert D. Hellweg serving as Vice Chair.
Welcome, xMEMS Labs, to our growing ASA Standards membership community!
